All of my favourite flavours thrown together into one delicious bowl of oaty breakfast goodness! You all know I’m a huge fan of my oats and even in the Summer, I’m not going to be giving them up for the hot weather. I just switch things up to some overnight oats/bircher muesli concoction for a cooler, but no less delicious treat! Plus, this recipe includes cold brew coffee.. another of my favourite things in life. In case you didn’t know this, I’m a huuuuuge coffee lover. All types of coffee really. Anything including coffee. Just love the stuff.
I was recently sent these cold brew coffees from Califia Farms– who make a selection of dreamy plant based milks and cold brew coffee drinks. This is made using their new caramel cold brew coffee and I have to say, I’m already hooked on the stuff! So. Delicious.
This is literally my dream summer time pre-workout breakfast. I almost always make oats before training, as I find they’re the best breakfast to really set me up for the day and give me a slow release of energy for my session. The added boost from the caffeine is also really helpful to get me pumped ready to face the day haha. Plus the chocolate coffee combo is just divine!
Ingredients- Serves 2
- 1 cup jumbo oats
- 1 cup Califia Farms Caramel Cold Brew Coffee
- Heaped Tsp cacao powder
- 1-2 Tsp agave syrup
- Toppings of choice
Combine all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
Leave this in the fridge for a couple of hours or overnight to chill and thicken.
When you’re ready to serve, add all of your favourite toppings and get stuck in!
